    Hello,

I am getting unexpected restarts on the computer, but these happen on a Windows 10 Pro version 1809. I am using an Intel I7 chipset on a Gigabyte Z370P motherboard and an NVidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.

Unfortunately I have not found any solution to this. Please help.

Always before the crashes, the following events occur in this order and they are logged in the Windows Log/System:

    0.

    Log Name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Ntfs
    >> Volume C: (\Device\HarddiskVolume4) is healthy. No action is needed.

    2.

    >> File System Filter 'atc' (10.0, ‎2019‎-‎07‎-‎04T18:03:48.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.

Then system restarts all of a sudden.

    4.
    Log Name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
    >> The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

    -----

Restarts of the PC are generally random, although I noticed they happen most frequently when playing GTA 5 game.
Although, restarts are not limited when playing games, they happened when browsing the Internet with Chrome.

Can you help me with a solution? Thank you.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows 10 update version 1809 fails to install and reverts back to version 1803 on my Surface Pro (5th) with windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 update version 1809 fails to install through Windows Update and reverts back to version 1803 on my Surface Pro (5th gen) with Windows 10 Pro. I also tried to manually install this update by deleting the Windows Update folder (Windows/SoftwareDistribution)
and downloading update 1809 from the Windows 10 Downloads site (Windows10Upgrade9252.exe).

Same problem : Download ok, install hangs at 84%, hits black screen, restarts the pc and reverts OS back to 1803.

After deleting the windows Update folder and eventhough this update 1809 failed to install, it does not show up as failed anymore and is also not found through Windows Update anymore.

    * Any suggestions on how to have this update 1809 installed correctly on my Surface Pro (5th gen?)

    * Some of my windows updates get installed in the Programs and Parts list, not in the Installed Updates list

(KB4023057 for example), Why is this happening and could this form a problem with updating to version 1809 ?

Windows 10 Pro version 1809 unexpectedly restarts

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
