    Windows 10 Pro won't let me install or uninstall any software


    Hi all,


    I have some issues with my Windows 10 Pro on my work laptop. Since a few days, I'm unable to install or uninstall any software. I always get an error about Windows Installer Service not running or unavailable.


    I look on the internet about this issue and found several ways of fixing it but none of them worked so far.


    I have tried :

    • on an admin CMD :
      • sfc /scannow but I got "a pending system repair that requires a restart. restart Windows and run sfc again". Of course if I reboot and re-run the command I got the same error.
      • dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth but the command fail with an error code 0x8000ffff
      • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth but the command fail with an error code 0x8000ffff as well
      • msiexec /unreg and then msiexec /regserver but no luck

    • I also tried the same commands on safe mode but without any success


    I open to any advice but it's getting very annoying for my work.
