Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 pro - worked just fine, no recent updates or devices installed. Turned PC on Dell Optiplex_ would not load win 10 pro came up with blue screen system config error. generic 10xxx393922 type code. Found on Microsoft KB, generic error according to MS. Followed the thread to create boot disc on USB stick. Boots up and when trying to do the set up, chose restore, no restore points not sure where they went. Tried other restore options same results. Tried to load Win10 from bootable USB drive and goes to setup screen, take the option to repair same problem wont boot up, goes through Win Diagnostic and can't repair. Also got tied up at point wanting to repair PC, says that I need to reboot. Still doesn't work. Then tried to boot to dos prompt tried to update the registry followed exact line by line instruction. PC says successful. Same results - goes to bsod. When I was able to get to screen in reinstall without losing files, where you put in serial number, tried both with and without. Then it tells me can update from this version, restart and at windows logo, hit start.................can't computer wont fire up. This is absolutely absurd, the very reason I am trying all this is because the computer WONT START.............. Too many false hopes in that Microsoft has built in so many reasons for consumers to bring in to computer stores and pay hundreds of dollars for the ":SECRET" Fix. I've been working on computers since pre dos, Fortran, Cobol, pascal , assembler win 3 3.1 all the way through currently and Microsoft has fixed it so it continuously loops. I want to reinstall, not lose my files and all the options are hopeful sounding but NOTHING works. I am so tired of the MS double talk, can someone actually help me. My computer store only wants to format and lose all my info or charge me $200 to save my files. LINUX and IOS are looking more hopeful as I'm tired of MS Win10 and nobody want's to help== when will MS own the responsibility to fix problems like this that end up in a giant loop?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

Download Windows 10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.
