Windows 10: windows 10 purchase

When Windows 10 first became available to download a beta version, I downloaded it. I later purchased windows 10 home version. I ended up actually purchasing it twice, once through windows ans again at Best Buy. I own 2 both a usb installation device and a product key card. I have tried completely reformatting my drive and resetting the encryption key to no avail. Every time I install Windows 10 from my Windows USB sticks it will not accept the product key and instead it reverts to the Win Professional addition I once downloaded and will only allow the product key from that download. (I don't put it in, it just automatically inserts it giving me no options. Nothing I have tries seems to actually replace the once downloaded product. Windows always ends up taking control of my computer and updating windows to a version I do not want. I feel helpless and frustrated as there are many settings I am not even allowed to change.


So a long time ago I gave up trying but it has occurred to me recently Microsoft should at the very least refund my two purchases one I purchased directly from Microsoft and received in the mail and the other at Best Buy. I have invested over $200. in Windows 10 home addition and after installing the program I can not even use my product keys. Clearly as long as I own this computer I will not actually control Windows 10 or have the ability to change many services as I choose such as preventing windows from sending reports to Microsoft. (only one among many)

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
