Windows 10: Windows 10 randomly shutting down

I've noticed in the community that this is not a new problem but wondered if anyone had an answer as to why this would just suddenly begin? Timing is everything and a lot seems to have happened since the latest cumulative update downloaded on July 27, 2019. My system began freezing in the middle of random sessions, then began shutting itself down while I'm using the internet, the reason being it couldn't find my internet signal all of a sudden.

Now, yesterday I changed my Microsoft account email address and I'm having to wait 24 to 72 hours for that to kick in to certain apps. I mention this because I can't use Cortana at the moment and it won't let me open a diagnostic box to check for problems. I've done all the troubleshooting I can do in the network settings with no problems there, so after all this, I don't know how to fix this. My OS is Windows 10 home, version 1903 os build 18362.239.

I have a Bitdefender 2019 security system installed and have had this for years, it might make response time a little slower but I've never had any issues because of it. I'm just trying to put in as much information as possible.

Regarding the update that Windows downloaded on July 27, I have uninstalled it for the time being to see if that works. I've made no other changes to my system, so any advice would be most welcome. I might add, that I daily check for updates and install them immediately so I'm not behind there. I recently opened my device manager and checked for any app updates I might require but each one was up to date.

Laptop randomly shuts down after latest Windows 10 update

Since the latest update of Windows 10 my computer decides to randomly shut down after every couple of minutes. First the screen goes black, then the sounds stops and after quite a while the power also goes down.

Obviously I though of cleaning the fan with a big vacuum, as suggested on My Windows 10 Computer Randomly Shuts Down . However, after doing this, the shutting down goes even quicker. I cannot even properly log-on before the shutdown takes place.

What should be my next step?

Ps. The computer is quited aged (roughly 3 - 4 years). The battery is dead enough such that I always need to have it plugged in an outlet. It might just be "done for" but I'm hoping to revive it for just a little bit more.

HP Notebook shuts down randomly
