Windows 10: Windows 10 re-install questions

Downloaded the Media Creation Tool and created a bootable USB drive. Got installation to start, selected 'I don't have a product key', selected Windows 10 Home which is what was previously installed, accepted license terms, and then I have a window asking what kind of install I want. First choice is 'Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings, and applications' and second choice is 'Custom: Install Windows Only (Advanced)'. I don't know what was done before I bought this computer, I'm guessing it was an upgrade from Windows 7 which this computer was shipped with to Windows 10. Does it matter if I choose Custom? I want a clean install. Choosing Custom, I then get to choose where to install Windows 10. My drive has an OEM partition I can't mess with, a recovery partition I'm guessing is from the Windows 7 install (but I don't know), and the main C drive of about 450GB. Should I format the drive, remove and regain the recovery partition? I don't know if the recovery is Windows 7 or Windows 10. Assuming it's 7. Or just let it be and install on the main part of the drive without reformatting? Thanks!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
