Windows 10 Reactivation after hardware change

So I've recently changed out my mobo for a new one and I've tried to run the troubleshooter for reactivating windows, it prompts me to log into my Microsoft account in which I did, then it showed my device to choose to activate windows on, I did that, but after it gives an error saying it can't activate windows at this time and tells me to try again later.

I bought this pre-built pc 3 years ago when it had windows 8 already installed on it, and upgraded to windows 10 when it came out, and just recently switched pretty much every part out; cpu, mobo, gpu, ram, psu, pretty much everything.

Am I not able to reactivate windows because of the hardware changes, and do I have to buy another copy of windows?

    :)

Reactivating Windows 10 after a hardware change

Before changing my MB and CPU I thoroughly read an article on how to reactivate Windows 10 after hardware change. I connected my activated Windows 10 that I bought from a retailer (so it's not a free upgrade) to a Microsoft account, changed hardware, went
to settings-account-troubleshooting and was surprised buy it saying "We can't reactivate Windows as our servers aren't available right now. Wait for a few minutes or try adding your Microsoft account again.". It's been more than couple of hours
since I tried it for the first time and I don't really believe that Microsoft servers can have that much downtime. So what is my next step now?
