  1. Windows 10 Reactivation Issues after Hardware Changes

    My Scenario:

I recently changed hardware, from a Dell Inspiron 3847 to a new PC Build

    Old Specs:

    CPU: i5-4460

    Motherboard: Dell 88DT1

    GPU: EVGA 1050ti 4GB

    RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3 1600MHz (m378b5173eb0-yk0)

    SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB

    HDD: ST1000DM003-1ER162 1TB

    New Specs:

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

    Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming

    GPU: EVGA 1050ti 4GB

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DRAM 16GB (CMR16GX4M2C3000C15)

    SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB

    HDD: ST1000DM003-1ER162 1TB

When I installed the SSD+HDD into the new pc and booted it, I uninstalled all of the old spec drivers and installed the new ones. I still receive the "Activation failed because this device doesn't have a valid digital license or product key." (Error Code 0xC004C003) When I try to re-enter the product key, I receive the same message, but with Error Code: 0x803fa067.

Is there any specific reason for this to occur? I have been having severe graphical glitches as well ever since I made my new PC, so I was wondering if this could be tied to that as well

    :)

Windows 10 Reactivation Issues after Hardware Changes

Unable to activate Windows after hardware change

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Usually the error code 0xC004F213 comes when there is a hardware change done on the computer (like Motherboard or Hard drive). The Windows license is associated with the device hardware. If there is any significant hardware changes, such as replacing
motherboard or hard drive, Windows won’t be able to recognize the license.

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps from the article
Reactivating Windows 10 after a hardware change
and see if Windows gets activated.

If you are using an OEM computer that came with Windows 7, and the motherboard has not been changed, then you can follow the steps to retrieve the product key that came with your OEM computer. To retrieve the product key follow the steps mentioned
    below:

    1. Type Command prompt in the search bar, that is on the taskbar.
    2. Right click on Command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
    3. Type the command and press on Enter: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
    4. You will find the product key.

    Hope it helps.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.
