  1. Windows 10 Recovery Loop

My fiance and I have had our computer for about 3 years now. It's never given us any problems at all. We don't download any content that we believe might be malware and we typically stay away from infectious sites, but we turned it on today and this message appeared: "Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC". We know that the problem is not uncommon and that there are many ways to go about solving the issue, so we attempted almost all of them that this webpage offered: Fix: Windows 10 Automatic Repair Couldn’t Repair Your PC
We tried all of the command prompt solutions but we couldn't get anywhere. We couldn't get the system to wipe clean either. We have a Logitech mouse and keyboard, someone said that the brand could cause problems so we unplugged them but it didn't resolve anything. Can anyone offer any advice?

    :)

    Windows 10 Stuck in Recovery

If someone could help me that would be fabulous.

Windows 10 went through an update. After the update finished loading, the system was no longer recognizing the sound drivers. I told the computer to revert to the previous version since everything was fine prior to the update. Now the machine is stuck in
a recovery loop. It will not login to Windows and it will not allow me to get any further than the BIOS screen. It continuously loops, I'll get a flash on the monitor of the recovery screen and then it shuts down and starts the loop again.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, etc.)

    1) Create a bootable windows 10 iso:
    Download Windows 10
    2) Find the keyboard key to boot to the flash drive:
List of PC brands with their corresponding hot-keys
If it is a custom computer you can temporarily change the bios boot order to boot to the external flash hard drive.
    3) It may take 5 - 10 minutes while the iso loads while viewing the windows icon
    4) Select the language, time, currency, and keyboard > click next
    5) Do not click install as this in the method for a clean install. Instead in the left lower corner click on repair your computer.
    6) click on start up repair (it is expected to fail)
    7) click on system restore (it is expected to fail)
    8) click on command prompt > Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources>
    9) type: bcdedit | find "osdevice"
This may display partition=C: (please post into the thread what is seen)(this drive letter will be used in the scannow command)
    10) bootrec /scanos
    This may display:
Scanning all disks for Windows installations.
Please wait, since this may take a while...
    Successfully scanned Windows installations.
    Total identified Windows installations: 0
    The operation completed successfully
    11) bootrec /fixmbr
    This may display:
    The operation completed successfully
    12) bootrec /fixboot
    This may display
    The operation completed successfully
    13) bootrec /rebuildbcd
    This may display:
Scanning all disks for Windows installations.
Please wait, since this may take a while...
    Successfully scanned Windows installations.
    Total identified Windows installations: 0
    The operation completed successfully
    14) sfc /scannow /offbootdir=[DRIVELETTER]:\ /offwindir=[DRIVELETTER]:\windowsSubstitute the drive letter you noted earlier for [DRIVELETTER]. There should be no square brackets in the command (image below).
    15) type: D:
    type: dir
    16) type: C:
    type: dir
Report into the thread which drive displayed each: windows, users, program files, EFI, boot, setup.exe
    17) chkdsk /f
    It may display:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Chkdsk may run if this volume is dismounted first.
ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.
Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (Y/N)
    18) type: y
If possible please use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture of the above results and post images into the thread (the results may wash off the windows so please take pictures as you progress)
    19) reboot
    20) if the above works then make a backup image using Macrium:
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free
    21) if the above fails then will consider a registry backup repair.
