Windows 10: Windows 10 'Redstone 4' official name to be Windows 10 April Update

I'm glad they went with Spring and not Fall. But as mentioned above they should just use numbers and also finally drop the 10.

But I wish they would stop with the creators nonsense, there's usually very little creative content.

 

Yeah, makes no sense to me. They've only added Paint3D, improved Inking a bit and that is pretty much it...for software development side they have not added much that one could not already do in previous Windows releases, except for Windows Subsystem for Linux, which has made huge leaps forward.

I can't create anything useful in 3D using Paint3D, so that tool is pretty much useless for me. It's a toy at best. And nothing new in Windows inspire my creativity in anyway either. So the name Creators Update does not make any sense to me at all.

 

The Marketing department and the bean counters make these crucial decisions. Attempting to apply logic to it is futile.

Well, all this CONTROVERSY over the name, leads me to ask how is controversy pronounced i.e CONTRO-versy or CONTROV-ersy?

Sad to see the BBC increasingly using the former!

Now scuttlebutt says April 10, apparently with "reliable sources". Have I missed Microsofts press release? Aren't they usually made almost a month in advance with an official release date? And this update is supposed to come out next week? *Confused
