    Windows 10 refuses to start Access denied Bootrec / fixboot


    It seems that my system refuses to create a BCD file. Although I get the message "The startup files were created correctly", when I go to restart, it still crashes and refuses to allow me access to execute the bootrec / fixboot command. It has been suggested that I change the name of the previous bcd file and, although I run the appropriate command "bcdboot c: \ windows / l en-us / s V: / f UEFI" when I search for the BCD, it does not appear anywhere.

    I'm in a desperate situation here ... I need help! PLEASE

    Bootrec /fixboot Access is denied error

    I encountered winlog.exe missing/corrupted issue during laptop startup. Have googled up solutions in repairing with USB bootable drive but did not help.

    There's other recommendations to enter command prompt and enter the few bootrec commands. However upon entering Bootrec /fixboot....it stated access is denied.

    Additionally there were additionals steps to follow but i still couldn't get this Bootrec /fixboot command accessible.

    Anyone know why and what are other steps?
