Windows 10: Windows 10 Reinstallation Help

Hi,


I'm experiencing some problems getting Windows 10 to boot correctly. The automatic repair does not work and it consistently takes me back to the "Your PC did not start correctly" screen.


The only upgrade/install I have done recently was a GPU driver update yesterday. Windows had some updates that it had been trying to install but as I was not consistently connected to the internet upon start up/shut down they had not installed.


System restore does not work on any of the five restore points found.

Troubleshoot > Reset this PC does not work, either keeping my files or not.

I'm unable to start the system in safe mode.


I think I will have to do a fresh install of Windows. I have a USB with the install media; it's asking me where I would like to install Windows but I'm not sure where to install it. I have an SSD with Windows on there (what I was using before the errors) and I also have an internal HDD. The internal HDD is the only place it will let me install Windows currently, and there are several drive partitions to choose from.


Any help would be appreciated.

[Solved] Windows 10 keeps reinstalling KB3119142

I noticed quite some time ago that KB3119142 (Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package) kept reinstalling itself for some reason. At least once daily. Sometimes up to several times a day. I just ignored it. It didn't seem to be doing any harm. And I figured they'd eventually fix it. Well...days turned into weeks, weeks into months, with no end to the problem in sight. It dragged on unsolved for at least the last few months. Literally reinstalling itself hundreds of(at least a hundred, felt like more) times in that period of time.

So I finally googled it a couple days ago. And just got around to fixing it today. Which appears to have worked. And it couldn't have been easier to do. I feel so stupid to have let it intimidate me for so long.*Oops!

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
