If your computer supports 64 bit architecture it should work but you will need to wait on the iso image to come out to download that. This will be a clean install and everything will be erased, I assume you know that.

Well this is pretty exciting news... Awesome! I can't wait.

At the same time I really hope we start to see some more polished technical preview builds as it's slightly scary that they are going to public launch in just 6 weeks and if you ask me the latest technical preview build is still pretty clunky.

I'm sure they will polish it up between now and then though. I bet they are VERY busy right about now...!

One thing to watch out for is the device drivers. It might be for old hardware that the only drivers available are 32-bit. I suggest going to the manufacturer's website and trying to find 64-bit drivers for your computer? Also, if you only have a small amount of RAM, 32-bit will probably work better.

We don't have the latest build, We only have the latest released build. No telling what is fixed and what isn't fixed in the actual latest build. All we can do is test what they release and hope the bugs get fixed.

Note UPDATE: Upcoming changes to Windows 10 Insider Preview builds

Getting the final release on July 29th
Windows Insiders running the Windows 10 Insider Preview (Home and Pro editions) with their registered MSA connected to their PC will receive the final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th. This will come as just another flight. I’ve gotten a lot of questions from Windows Insiders about how this will work if they clean installed from ISO. As long as you are running an Insider Preview build and connected with the MSA you used to register, you will receive the Windows 10 final release build and remain activated. Once you have successfully installed this build and activated, you will also be able to clean install on that PC from final media if you want to start over fresh.

If you are running the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview, to upgrade to the final release of Windows 10 Enterprise you will need to download and activate it from Volume Licensing Service Center. As a reminder, the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview is not eligible for the free upgrade offer and can be upgraded to the final release of Windows 10 through an active Software Assurance agreement.

    Thank you, Shawn.

This still seems to be too good to be true, and I don't know why I need two partitions with Windows 10 running on this machine, so I'd guess some changes should be in order. *Smile

What's neat, Winuser, is that this machine came with Windows 8.1 core and I'm running Windows 10 Pro as an Insider!

I think it means I get to keep Pro!
