Windows 10: Windows 10 Resource Issues

I have been using Windows Operating Systems since Windows 95. Some of them were better than others. However, this bout with not enough resources is killing my business. I am using two machines with i7 Quad Core processors, 16GB of RAM and 1 TB hard drives. These are not low budget machines. I have used them through Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 up to release 1909 without issues. Ever since the Windows 10 update beyond 1909 was installed I have been having the "Not enough resources ... " issue. And, its been getting worse with each successive update. One step that used to help was to adjust the Virtual Memory setting to equal the amount of physical RAM in the machine. And, upon checking that status, when the machine was not displaying the resource warning, the page file size was very close to the manually set Maximum Size. Ever since the update beyond 1909, the size recommendation is short of 3000MB and is not close to my currently allocated 12288MB. This condition is consistent when the "not enough resources" alert surfaces.

To the untrained eye to the MVP level, it appears the operating system is getting more and more overhead heavy over time and consuming many more resources, leaving a reduced amount for running applications. My machines are business computers, not gaming or streaming machines. I cannot have them to keep breaking out of processes that require me to close and restart applications putting my efficiency in the toilet. I have run through the suggested solution paths that allow me to keep my installed applications with no resulting joy.

I would vote for a version of Windows 10 that has absolute minimum bells and whistles, allowing the machine resources to focus on productivity and accomplishing work related goals.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
