  1. Windows 10 Restarts Over and Over During Final Steps of Installation

    Summery:
I think I ccleaned something important.
Under ccleaner I clicked Clear: Windows event logs,Wipe Free Space, Tray Notification Cache, Menu Order Cache, Old Prefetch Data, Environmental Path. Along with the basics such as brower cache.

After a restart, entire screen was black, however I had a mouse that could move.
I did alt tab, there were processes running but very few.

Out of panic I restarted everything.
I restarted the computer and went into the system repair. After no mistake was found by it, I ended up after some other attempts of finding out the problem I reinstalled windows 10 completely. Keep in mind this is through the Windows Repair.

Windows 10 installs after a few hours.

    Now currently:
Windows 10 runs up to the point where I select my language, location (time area) and the other settings. After clicking the final step, "use express settings", i click next, when I do this it goes to the loading screen. (I think it said please wait).

After a few seconds of loading, it restarts.

After the restart it takes me back to the beginning of the installation, (the part about choosing the language, location, etc) and I do it again, and it happens again, like a loop.

    things attempted:
    Sfc/scannow, says no corrupt files
Starting up in safe mode (safe mode regular (4) and safe mode with command prompt), doesnt start up in safe mode/it goes back to the regular installation loop.

    :)

  4. Windows 10 Restarts Over and Over During Final Steps of Installation

Hello NeederofHelp Welcome to the Ten Forums!

And the "World of 10 mares" by the looks of things! Actually 10 has been running good here since the upgrade was replaced fast by a clean install which didn't using the PC Refresh option when booted live from the 10 flash drive following the Upgrade to Repair second upgrade install. No that means the 10 installer went to work when choosing the "Custom" install option.

Typically the upgrade will be what turns out buggy and then you move with the first clean install. If you have an extra hard drive plugged in that will be a concern however since that is the "Monkey Wretch tossed into the Works" obstacle that can prevent the 10 upgrade and even clean install from happening! You may see an error screen appear when simply returning to the desktop during an upgrade attempt get past the 10 logo screen following the initial restart and run into a totally blank screen when that type of install fails.

Haven't any real bugs come with any of the clean installs once I found out why I couldn't get the first 10 upgrade to complete here! Then I reviewed the Clean Install guide also seen in my signature to find out something I wouldn't have known about for some time until investigating my two storage drives! One had 10 temporary installation folders while the other was found to have the boot files while none ended up on the drive they were supposed to go on!

The SFC tool and Disk Check wouldn't be any help for this if you have an extra drive plugged in when going to install 10! That would come as no surprise here at all. And in fact if it should turn out that CCleaner did trash the first 10 install that would only confirm what I knew would eventually happen to someone where system files were tossed by the soon to be abandoned XP, Vista, 7 program not suited for the latest version which is the third to come out following 7. The 10 installer can get confused at times!

If you presently do not have anything on the drive either not worth keeping or already backed up elsewhere one sure solution after making sure no other non OS drive is plugged in would be to wipe the OS drive and start from scratch since the refresh option isn't making the trip! Hopefully you did see the 10 installation media created. You will be needing that.
