    I agree with you completely.
I feel the same way. I don't mind waiting a bit longer while they continue to iron out the biggest issues.

Absolutely right. What's the rush. We all have perfectly running systems, don't we. And the 10TP is pretty good too - although I would not recommend to put all your eggs into that basket.

Since the goal is to Upgrade prior os's I doubt we'll we a retail oem for quite a while after release
Sure computer manufactures will receive it but the general public not for a while
    I expect 6 months after.

    But yes perfectly running systems,

But the devil is in the detail. It takes a lot to get people really excited but only little to disappoint them.

Like my wife did not want to buy a particular car in Europe because it did not have cup holders. Well, the dealer arranged for an aftermarket cupholder for her - a nice flip open device. 16 years later we sold the car with an unused cup holder, LOL. In Europe you just don't run around with sippy cups and there are few places where you could get a drink-to-go anyhow.

  9. It will be leaked soon after the RTM goes out. Always has been in the past. The trick then becomes finding a reliable copy that hasn't been tampered with. If you don't have MSDN access that is.

I totally agree! I haven't seen anything in W10 TP that gives me the urge to upgrade from W8.1 Pro. The only reason I probably will upgrade at some point is the final W10 product will be a more secure OS.

When the RTM comes out in "June" or later I will upgrade from Win8.1 without a doubt. Why?? I'm an early adopter, I like the changes in the new OS and the price(cost) seals the deal for me at least.

I think what has happen in the past RTMs will change due to the mass amount of TP testers and the fact that it will be free to a huge mass of people.

Having a year to decide will help. Will have to see how it comes along.

  14. In the past RTM was so the OEM's could finalize drivers etc and prepare for the official finale release. It's supposed to be a reasonable facsimile of what will be released to consumers. That was my take on it anyway. All these multiple fast releases and full public access kind of changed that though. I'm not sure it holds the same weight it did in the past.

Microsoft may very well let anybody download and test it. Things have changed a lot recently. I think they finally figured out its going to be leaked anyway so why not just give it out and get feed back. All they have to do is release it with a generic time limited key.
