Windows 10: Windows 10 - Scanner Control

Hi - when flash player was switched off recently the programme HP Solution Center I have had for years to operate my flatbed scanner stopped working. I have downloaded the windows scan app but this only appears to give very basic functionality ie no multi page, no editing of scans etc. Are there any other Apps or programmes within windows 10 that could give me back some of the functions I previously had, Is there any way to get the HP soluton center running again. Are there any other scanner programmes that could be purchased i don't need the full adobe acrobat programme. Many thanks. Rgds

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with device. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the scanner drivers from the manufacturer web site and check if it helps.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Win 10 does not recognize scanner
