Windows 10: Windows 10 screen brightness

I have been a windows user since Win 98 and one feature i loved especially with laptops was the screen brightness automatically dimming when you switch from external power to battery modes and back to max brightness on connecting power. now with windows 10, this great feature has vanished and all reviews and questions don't seem to either understand or have a fix for this. I use hp spectre x360 now and with all the power modes (hp recommended, power saver, etc), there seems to be no slider to set screen brightness levels for battery and power modes. Windows please fix this.

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

Brightness not working on Windows10.

On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Please guide.

Screen Brightness


My laptop screen brightness is always at Max even when I reduce it. And there is also no sleep option. I make use of windows 10. Please any suggestion
