Windows 10: Windows 10 screen colors too bright

    Windows 10 screen colors too bright


    Hi,


    For a few days, I noticed an issue with the display of my laptop screen on Windows 10. I dont know where it came from.

    Some examples of this issue below I wonder if you see the borders, as I cant see them on me defectuous screen...:

    Here I cannot see anymore the borders between the address bar and the rest. Same for the tabs, cant see them.

    Example on facebook: Here I almost cant see the post borders.


    The colors are totally normal on my Linux partition, and normal as well on Windows 10 if I cast my screen with a videoprojector.

    Whatever level of luminosity I configure my screen, the issue is still here.

    I use a laptop ASUS ROG Strix Scar 3, so I have a built-in intel graphic chipset and a dedicated NVidia.


    Here is what I tried:

    - Reinstall NVidia drivers

    - Reinstall intel drivers already up to date

    - Change resolution

    - Try to always use the dedicated graphics or built-in

    - Change theme

    - Choose accentuation color

    - Modify contrast parameters

    - Calibrate colors gamma, etc, although I am afraid to create a mess that I would not know how to set back properly, so I didnt go too far


    Any idea of what I could do ?

    screen brightness on windows 10

    Hi,

    Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

    To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

    • Click Start, then select Settings.
    • Choose System, then select Display.
    • Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

    Windows 10 Screen Brightness Problem

    Hi Jack,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    You may use color calibration to make changes to screen brightness and contrast. Kindly follow the steps below and see if the help.

    • Press Windows key and go to Settings > System > Display.
    • Click on Advanced Display Settings.
    • Click on Color Calibration under Related Settings.
    • Provide password (if any) for the UAC prompt and click on OK.
    • Click on next and follow the on screen prompts to adjust the brightness and contrast.
