    Windows 10 screen softlock glitch


    Hi there!

    I recently installed an antivirus called ClamAV to scan an external drive that had a bunch of viruses on it. The first time I scanned it was going great and then I left it overnight to scan.

    When I came back, the screen was in a glitched state with random white boxes and part of my background appearing. I rebooted and ran the scan again and within a few minutes, it happened again.

    Keep in mind, the computer does not respond AT ALL in this state. I'm letting it cool off for a couple of hours until I try again but, does anyone know what the cause of this might be?



    (And no, the computer I'm running the scan on does NOT have any viruses.)
