Windows 10: Windows 10 search app icons broken, only white cross on black background

I recently increased the performance of windows and I felt , hey finally my computer got speeded up but after a day or two I got this but I don't think this is the root cause .

Cross icon when I search apps on my windows search bar

When I try to search up some apps on my windows search bar I noticed that the apps' icons are not appearing or it appears as a white cross with a black background.

Hello Community,

when i do an Cortana Search on my Windows 10, all App Icons in the search results are broken:





What I tried so far without success:

- Reset Icon cache

- Reset Thumbnail Cache

- dism restorehealth

My Windows Version:





Any idea how to restore the icons?

Hello community,

I've got the exact problem that's described in this thread (click).

Since yesterday, when I do a search all icons are broken. Instead I get what you can see on the picture: A white cross on black background. In the start menu all icons work just fine.

I already did some searching and tried to fix it myself but found no success so far.

What I tried:

- delete icon cache

- delete thumbnail cache

- the method described in the thread that I linked above

I use Windows 10 Pro 10.0.17763
