Windows 10: Windows 10 Search Bar not working - keeps showing moving dots then a black box

When I type something in the search box, the results shows the usual 'loading' dots on the top, then a black screen after a few seconds, and then just closes. I don't have Cortana enabled. I have updated my device drivers, restarted the SearchApp.exe, SearchIndexer.exe, and explorer.exe processes multiple times, and restarted my computer, but nothing seems to fix it. Is there something wrong with the servers, or is there something wrong with my computer?

• 
  Right click on the task bar.
  
• 
  Go to Cortana.
  
• 
  Click on show search box.
  

Now check if you are able to find search box.

No search box on taskbar

Please try the below and check if you can see search bar on taskbar:

Steps:

• Right click on Taskbar, move the mouse cursor on to
  Search option.
• Select Show Search icon (You will see Search icon beside Start)
• Select Show search bar (You will see Search bar beside Start)

Search boxes inside windows not working

In the task bar it works normal, it's only the boxes inside the windows as described in this site by someone else.

If I click and type it won't work either. It's really annyong and weird, I cant search anymore in my thousands of files.

Where do I have to do that? I dont understand what that is.
