Windows 10: Windows 10 Search (Cortana) Not Working

Hi all

So this is a well known issue with a magnitude of other users reporting it. I myself have experienced this on around 90% of all Windows 10 PC's I've worked on and configured/built so the problem is very prevalent and I'm at a loss to explain why this hasn't been fixed yet as it's utterly annoying.

I've tried rebuilding the Index, made sure Windows is up to date and also tried some PowerShell commands (the Get-App one) from numerous blogs I've consulted regarding this issue, all to no avail.

This is a brand new installation (not an in-house upgrade) of Windows 10 and here are the specs...

Windows 10 Pro, domain joined.
16GB RAM
2x500GB SSD in RAID 1
ASUSTek P8P67 DELUXE motherboard with an i7 Intel CPU

"Search" and Cortana not working

"Search" and Cortana quit working. (Both worked when I first loaded Windows 10.)

I reloaded Windows 10, ran several commands from the administrator's C: prompt,

and everything checks out OK. Still, neither "Search," nor Cortana will work.

 

Where is the Search Programs and Files bar in Windows 10
