    Windows 10 shows it has been activated, but still requests activation


    I'm using a Lenovo G50 that came with Windows 10 Enterprise pre-installed. Until recently, I could work on it without any problem, but now it shows a message that it needs to be activated, even though it shows that Windows has been activated at the top.

    To make things worse I can't seem to find the Windows Product Key on the device, and when I entered the key I found from Command Prompt it says "Error installing product key Error Code:0x004e016".

    Please help.

    Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

    Yeah they blacklisted the insider keys at RTM, so u need to activate it again. They're using KMS server activation, so there's only handful of keys.

    If you don't have any luck I can show another quicker method...lol

    How long did you wait for activation?
    When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
    However, it did, finally, activate.

    In the Windows activation status page is it still showing as activated, or do you have something like 3 days to do it in?
