  1. Windows 10 Sign-In and Sounds issue

    Hi,

I have Windows 10 Pro x64. My Graphics Card had some issues a few months back, so I got a new one. Then I had to get a new PSU for that Card, and it was probably a faulty unit, and my PC ran into a few power surges, turning off quite a few times. So I had to get a new PSU.

After getting that new PSU, when I turned on my PC again, my mouse and ethernet cable were not being recognized. So I couldn't use my mouse, and couldn't connect to the internet. I learned there were some driver issues, the power surges and sudden turning off probably broke some drivers. So I downloaded the Windows 10 disk image from the Microsoft website, and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro x64 using the setup. Kept all my files, settings and apps, only reinstalled Windows.

This fixed my driver issues, I could use my mouse again, and connect to the internet again. However, it broke something in the system, and I could no longer sign-in in with my Microsoft account, in Settings, Sticky Notes, Office or Microsoft Store, for example. If I tried to sign-in, the small square sign-in window would appear for a few seconds, then go away. Also, same thing happens with many built-in apps, like Photos. Those apps launch, then go away.

Then, Settings downloaded some updates, and I installed them, and those updates broke sounds on my system. There's a speaker with a red circle and a cross inside it, on the taskbar. So there's no sound. And when I right-click it, it says "Speaker setup UNKNOWN > Off".

Also, opening folders in Explorer freezes and takes a long time.

I tried to reinstall Windows again, using the disk image, but now it says "Windows can't be installed because this PC has an unsupported disk layout for UEFI firmware."

    What can I do now?

    :)
