Discus and support Windows 10 sort of Freezes when Idle in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I leave my PC idle for a few minutes and come back and it wakes up, but some programs crash, some programs still work, and windows explorer is almost...     Windows 10 sort of Freezes when Idle


    I leave my PC idle for a few minutes and come back and it wakes up, but some programs crash, some programs still work, and windows explorer is almost frozenstart menu works but none of the shutdown/restart buttons work no shortcuts work like ctrl+shift+esc for ctrl+alt+delete. seems like a scheduler problem maybe?? I'm on the latest version of windows 21H1. Any ideas of what the problem might be?

    Windows 10 freezes/deadlocks after being left idle for a few minutes

    I have done all of what you suggested, and it still freezes when idle for a few minutes. I have just performed a 1 hour + download. Five minutes later, while the computer was idle, Windows 10 froze.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
