Windows 10: Windows 10 sound does not work

Due to an issue with high definition audio causing high CPU usage, which was causing the Dell Alienware laptop to be extremely slow, I uninstalled the sound drivers. This corrected the CPU problem, but now I have no sound. After rebooting the laptop, there is only one item "Sound Blaster Recon3Di" listed under "Sound, video and game controllers". There were 2 visible in the Device Manager before I made the changes.


Any suggestions on how I can get my sound working again?

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

 

Hdmi sound not working

One possible reason why the HDMI sound does not work is due to the conflicts with the playback settings. For us to help you make the HDMI sound to work, we suggest that you answer the following questions for further research:

• What is the current build and version of your Windows 10?
• Have you tried to download and install the most updated sound and display driver of your computer?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
