  1. Windows 10 , sound output device bug

Hi , i have 3 sound output devices headphones , speakers and monitor and after the windows update , i cant switch between those outputs. Its happening when i boot up my PC or the PC goes to "power saving mode", after 2 hours of not being used. After this ,its automaticlly swaped to the "default output device" which are my headphones. From this point i cannot pick other output devices , only the headphones are shown as a output device. The only solution that worked for me was to use "troubleshoot sound problems" , then it displays all devices , including those which didnt show before, then i close it and everything from sound , sound icon and sound settings lags for a few seconds, after this it recognizes all the output devices and works normal until i turn off the PC ,then its the whole process again... So i was wondering , did anybody has similar problem as me ? And if so , is there a permanent way to fix this ? Sorry for my bad English.

    :)

Vista sound output to two devices

Ive tried to search this up, but so far I haven't found good results.

I have a Sound Blaster X-fi PCI-E and the Radeon 4890 HDMI audio for outputs.
I have them both working separately on the audio devices list on Vista Home Premium.
I FINALLY got screen cloning to work in games, but audio will only output to one or the other.
This depends on what I have set to default.

Is there anyway to get Vista to output all audio to BOTH devices?

    Thanks in advance.

No sound output device on Windows 10 with analogue speakers

    Hello,

I have a HP Envy desktop running Windows 10, version 2004. The desktop has analogue surround sound outputs connected to a surround sound system (Creative Inspire T6300).

The sound system was working perfectly (until a recent Windows update?) but now there is no sound at all. There is no longer any output device listed in the output device sound settings. I have double checked that the surround system is still properly plugged
in and powered. The volume control is still illuminated when on and I hear a faint click as the system is switched on and off as normal.

The Device Manager lists a "High Definition Audio Device" and the Webcam. I have tried to update the driver but to no avail. The Troubleshooter offers me only options to troubleshoot the NVIDIA outputs on the HDMI connector which is no help.

This has me really baffled - I would really appreciate any ideas or assistance!

No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.
