Windows 10: Windows 10 stopped working

So, I asked my school for a copy of windows 10 and they gave it to me, free of charge. I activated it and all was good up until yesterday. It said it had somehow deactivated itself, and I can't activate it again. I've asked the school to try do something about it, but unfortunately, they can't fix it. I've even tried using a different working windows 10 key and had no luck either. I don't know what to do, I've even tried doing things within .cfg files as well as CMD. No luck with either of them, only temporary fixes that only turn into bigger problems eventually. I am desperately looking for someone to help me please!

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
