Windows 10: Windows 10 stuck in safe mode

I have had the same problem as others, seems that now it has come to having a backup ssd drive with the original Windows 10 OS the only way back to normal mode.

I have inserted the Windows 10 dvd and used command prompt,

I have used the bcdedit /deletevalue {default} and {current} safeboot option is not working.

I can`t go into msconfig from the password request window by the right clicking the power icon.

I have changed the password and wrote it down then tried to use it in safe mode, didn`t work.

The only way to get back to normal Windows 10 is to connect the backup hard drive with Windows 10 then use a third party software to clone to the hard drive i`m having trouble with.

The whole reason why i`m going through this is to remove some Display software that was not removed when I used amdcleanuputility software and a new hard drive. To get my AMD display software updated I finally got it to update by manually finding it then removing it.

I cannot begin to explain how frustrating it was to have to go through all of this trouble just because Safe Mode will not accept my password. To this day I still cannot get into Safe Mode, this really needs to be addressed. Thanks.

Stuck in safe mode in windows 10

Safe mode is intended to help fix most, if not all problems within an operating system, it's not good if we got stuck on it. To correct this, we suggest that you follow the steps below to exit out of Safe mode:

• Open Run command by pressing Windows key + R
  keys on the keyboard and type msconfig in the command box and press
  Enter.
• Under General tab, put a check on Normal Startup option.
• Reboot the system and check if the changes are effective.

Let us know if you are able to exit out of Safe mode with these steps.

Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10  


I am stuck in Safe Mode in spite of following all the suggested steps to go back to Normal Startup - Like opening file location of msconfig.exe & running as Administrator. The computer I am trying to get out of safe mode has just been updated from Windows 7.
