Windows 10: Windows 10 Stuck on version 1703 Wont update to 1803 and beyond

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help me here. I have a HP Laptop (info below) and just recently had to do a re-format as I was having a problem somewhere. Now before I did this the system was running on the New windows version 1903 from the 18 version. Now after the reboot I'm getting "Failed to install warnings - Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-07B - Error 0x80242006 no KB number atttached

I have tried doing the trouble shooter but that has not done any good. At the moment it seems to have locked up in getting these 2 updates. Now when I purchased this laptop it was running 18 so why has it gone back in time?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

wushowhide and group policy atm is the only surest way

 

Stuck on version 1703


Hello!

I am new here and thank you for any support. Well, my Windows 10 is stucked on version 1703 build 15063.138 and as an Insider I've receiving the updates but it always fail. Right now it tried to install Windows 10 Insider Preview 16179.1000 (rs_prerelease) but failed again. I tried run a lot of tips trying to cure the problem. What would you suggest?
