Windows 10: Windows 10 stucks when I insert SD card adapter in my laptop's SD card reader

When insert SD card, My PC just stop responding, it's not showing "Not responding" and it's not crashing, the whole window stop responding to mouse, I can't close window, can't minimize it...

Also, diskpart is not loading when SD card inserted, as soon as I remove SD card diskpart is loaded. (Diskpart is operated by CMD)

Disk management keeps loading when assagning new letter to SD card reader, I found that there might be driver letter conflict so SD card won't load.

How to fix this? Why my PC dies when SD card inserted? And how to force assign different letter? Disk management freezes, Diskpart not loading...

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
My SD card reader has stopped working.
In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
I can't format the card as it is not listed.
I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
Please help!

Problem showing SD cards when inserted in card reader

Here's the thing:

I have a multi card reader which has been working fine until the Anniversary Update. Now, when I insert an SD card, Windows doesn't show the card mounted. It remains as a hidden object which can only be viewed when I activate the "show hidden items" thing. Before the big update, every time I inserted a SD card, is popped up as a new drive (as th USB pen drives do).

Any clue?

 

SD Card Reader

Still wondering if Windows 10 will ever recognize my built in SD card reader in my HP laptop? In Windows 7, I inserted my card and it would show everything. Now with Windows 10 it's like the SD port just dissapeared!!
I have been researching and nothing that was suggested has worked.
