Windows 10: Windows 10 suddenly got deactivated

I got this Asus ROG GL502VM gaming laptop for more than 3 years. And it was doing fine. I upgraded to a newer model and I have given this laptop to my son. But today, I just found out that the Windows 10 that came with it suddenly got deactivated. So I contacted Microsoft's technical team to assists me and sadly they were not able to since they are asking for the product key which I really don't know since the OS is already been installed when I bought it. We also tried running the "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey" command but it returned nothing. They advised me to contact Asus technical team and I did. So Asus technical team told me to install Belarc Advisor and so I did. But after the installation, Belarc tool didn't do anything. It did not generate any reports as well. We only encountered this problem after I updated my son's laptop recently. And I went on to update my newer laptop just today to version 1909 to see if it will deactivate the digital license as well but it didn't. So my question is, how come this laptop's OS suddenly got deactivated after more than 3 years of having it?


By the way, Asus technical team asked for my email address so they can email me back after they find something on the issue. The person I was talking to told me that he will try to escalate the issue further and get back to me as soon as they can.

And also, I still have my account on this laptop as the main account. And just created a new user for my son.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
