Windows 10: Windows 10 Suddenly restarts without warning cont unresolved.

I seen this post had been previously running and shutdown without resolve by a forum moderator..

I see this issue of pc randomly restarting has been happening since 2015 and is mentioned Microsoft is aware..

but I also see they got people jumping through all kind of hoops for a problem Microsoft knows is an error on their part..

I was going to reply to previous post as I had been having this issue myself on a fairly new desktop HP Pavillion.

it has only occurred few times lately not sure if is coincidence to any new updates as of late.. but something is going on..

this last time I was watching YouTube and pc froze and restarted on its own.


Last pc I had was HP vista and I liked the full Hardware diagnostic set up it had but is not on 10.


if there was a quick link to click and Microsoft diagnose the problem would be great.. but as far as jumping through hoops I think I seen enough people have gone through this and see that this problem is happening with many people so is not their pc but something Microsoft needs to figure out and if had add to an update a patch fix if be.. I see nothing but people being put through circles for few years on this.


I have other friends say the same thing happens to their 10.. so I know this is an issue Microsoft is well aware of.. and is strange I am seeing after 3 years is still an ongoing issue..

I have always used HP and have been pretty decent over all.. but "glitch" seems to be the ongoing thing on net and Pc both now no matter what you have or do..


I continued this post as I think the other did not run its course because was never resolved.. and shut down unfairly.

it is not upto us too fix this it is upto Microsoft..

Windows Update suddenly hangs?

Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

Automated Restart of Windows 10 PC

If Windows suddenly restarts without warning, or restarts when you try to shut it down, it might be caused by one of several issues. An outdated driver and software conflict are some of the possible reasons. Having said that, we suggest performing
the following steps:

Step 1: Disabling the automatic restart option to view error messages.

Many hardware driver or operating system errors will cause the computer to display a specific error message before stopping the operation or shutting down the computer. However, if the Automatically restart option
is enabled, an error message might not be displayed despite an error taking place. Disable this option to allow the computer to display the error message.
Follow these steps to disable the Automatically restart option:

• 
  In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings.
  
• 
  Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section.
  
• Remove the check mark next to Automatically restart under System Failure, then click OK.
• Restart the computer.

Step 2: Checking for failed hardware.

Hardware problems can cause the computer to restart unexpectedly.
