Windows 10 suddenly saying Windows is not activated after changing nothing

Last week I unplugged my computer and rearranged some cables, and suddenly, this computer is suddenly saying Windows 10 is not activated.

I built this computer myself, and it has been working for years with no trouble on an OEM Windows 8.1 license in a retail package from Newegg.com and I upgraded to Windows 10 at the earliest opportunity.

I am now getting an error message 0xC004F211. It says the last product key I entered can't be used on this copy of Windows.

To reiterate, I CHANGED NOTHING. I did not change the motherboard. However, a couple USB 3 ports on the motherboard stopped working around the time this problem started.

I clicked "troubleshoot." It detected deactivation problems and said "We weren't able to activate Windows on this device" and suggested I go to the store and purchase ANOTHER genuine copy of Windows. No thank you..

I called Microsoft. Their support agent hemmed and hawed and tried to tell me that maybe I had shared the serial number, or maybe the seller had sold it to other people A Microsoft partner seller sold a shrink-wrapped package with a hidden serial number to other people and it only just now stopped working? Please. Then he transferred me away to a line that said it was closed at 3pm on a Friday. These allegations are not only untrue but impossible.

In frustration, I thought, "What the heck," and rebooted.

When I rebooted, it was activated again... but now today, it isn't activated again. Andfor no reason. Nothing has changed. Nothing on my device has changed. No one else has this serial number.

Literally the only thing that changed was I plugged in a USB camera.

On a whim I clicked on "I changed hardware. It said "We can't find any devices linked to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you're using right now."

I clicked on "see other devices." It says "We can't reactivate Windows from these devices.

Under that it says "Unsupported version. These devices were registered with a version of Windows 10 that does not support this feature." What feature? Using it on the same computer?

Under that message it shows DESKTOP-72R0AG7. I checked System Properties, and it's the same computer.

    To reiterate one last time:

    • I did not change hardware.
    • I am the only person who has ever used this Windows activation key, andonly on this device, and only with this motherboard.
    • Windows 10 has deactivated itself for no reason I can determine.

How do I get my one-device, one-motherboard, never-shared Windows license to be considered legitimate again after it stopped being considered legitimatefor no reason?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

Windows 10 suddenly saying Windows is not activated after changing nothing

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10 NOW - Upgrade and ISO direct from microsoft

this search might help you https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sou...o+to+get+it+activated+windows+10+blocked+keys

    From http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/why-activate-windows-10

If you upgraded to Windows 10 for free and ended up in a non-activated state, try following these steps:

    • Go to Start
Windows 10 suddenly saying Windows is not activated after changing nothing [IMG]
, then select Settings > Update & security > Activation.
    • Select Go to Store, and check to see if a valid license is available for your device. If a license isn't available, you'll need to buy Windows from the Store.

      Note
      • This only applies if you haven't made changes to the hardware for your device.

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
