Windows 10: windows 10 switching between different Virtual Desktops

Bug reproduce:


OS: windows 10: 1803 (x64 intel 7500U 8G ram)


it is easy to reproduce the bug....


When I press Task View it will show currently opened apps on this desktop (e.g. desktop 1)

then I add a new virtual desktop (e.g. desktop 2)


Now Task View shows I have two virtual desktop


and then I press Win + Ctrl + arrow key right to switch to desktop 2


it first shows the wallpaper or some app open at desktop 2 and turn back to Task Views !!!!!


it is really annoy when switching between different Virtual Desktops


please fix it.


I recall in 1703 it was fine ( it will directly change to another desktop's Task View)

but fall into garbage in recent windows update ........

Different taskbar for different virtual desktops.

I have a issue with virtual desktops in Windows 10. When I use virtual desktops, there is a single taskbar that is shared between all of them, for eg : say I have Task Manager open on "virtual desktop 1" and Windows explorer on "virtual desktop 2" and I
am currently on "virtual desktop 1", then in taskbar I see both Explorer and Manager open whereas on "virtual desktop 1" I can only use Task Manager.

The problem with this is that when I have multiple programs and many different Chrome windows open on different virtual desktops, the taskbar gets cluttered and almost defeats the purpose of multiple desktops.

So what I want is different "local" taskbar for each virtual desktop - like if I have Task Manager on virtual desktop 1, then I should only be able to see that in my taskbar when I am using that desktop. Is this possible ?

Virtual desktops

In the article you linked it says talks about 4 goals Microsoft has with virtual desktops:

• Give you more desktop space to group related windows
• Help you quickly locate and switch to any window or group of windows
• Let you easily re-organize your groups and move windows as tasks evolve
• Keep you in control of the degree of separation between your grouped windows

Not being able to control what desktop the program opens on really doesn't fit in with these goals.

Give me one good reason for why it is suppose force me to change virtual desktop when I open a program, just one good reason and I will consider to drop the issue. To me this sounds like virtual desktops isn't ready yet and you refuse to acknowledge that
there are bugs, because this makes it very hard to work with multiply virtual desktops.

Using a virtual desktop is a good way to have Windows inside your current OS to be able to run programs that are available to
Windows. That being said, your concern would require more adavance troubleshooting as it might be possible that this might vary on the virtual machine that you are using. If you're using a
