Windows 10: Windows 10 Sync Settings across devices

So, this issue has been around FOREVER. I have spent several hours online with Microsoft Answer Techs and they don't seem to be able to come up with a fix for this issue. Let me get a couple of answers to questions that I know will be asked out of the way up front.


Things I have done:


changed user accounts on both machines.

yes, both machines are connected to the same Microsoft account via an outlook.com email address.

yes, all of the sync settings are set to on on both machines.

I have gone to my Microsoft account online and removed both machines from the account and then added them back.

I have done clean resets to both machines twice.


Pretty much anything you can find online or that the Answer Techs can come up with has been tried.


Microsoft must be aware of this issue as it seems to have persisted for many years as far back as 2011 from what I can tell so why don't they either provide a fix for the problem or just get rid of the feature all together?


If anyone has found a fix for this problem that ACTUALLY WORKS I'd love to hear from you.

Stop Windows 10 syncing keyboard settings

I suggest you to Turn off the Language preference and Ease of access Sync settings and check if it helps. You may follow the steps below and check if it helps:

• Press Windows key and then type Sync your settings.
• Turn off language preference and ease of access.

Cant sync settings in Windows 10

Hi,

To help you better please help us with the below information.

• Did you make any recent software/hardware changes on your computer?
• Have you signed in to your computer using Microsoft account?
• Is the sync settings is greyed out in the settings Windows?

As an initial step I would suggest you sign out of Microsoft account and sign in again, see if the issue is resolved.

Also install all the pending updates on your system and check if it helps.

I suggest you to follow the Steps below and check if that helps.

• Right click on Start button and select Control panel.
• Choose Sync Center and click on View Sync conflicts
  and follow the onscreen instructions.
