  1. Windows 10 taking too long to ask admin permission to install software

Everytime I click to install a new app on my PC, the system takes several times just to ask my permission to run the installer. Below are my specifications:

    4 GB RAM DDR4

    1TB HDD

    Core i3 6006U

    Windows 10 Home v1903

    :)

How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?

Windows 10 taking too long to ask admin permission to install software

    Windows 10 permission confusion

Okay I've had a pretty wacky HDD setup for awhile. Originally from Vista, to 7, and now 10. But not all have been on the same HDD. Some have had reinstalls.

The upgrade to 10 a month back created a whole new mess. Actually had to reinstall 7, then go back to 10 again more than once due to issues. Finally got 10 working but the security permissions are an utter mess. It recognizes me as the admin, but at the same time it will revoke access like I'm not the admin. I traced some problems to the ownership of the drives being given to some installer...dunno what it was.

So that is fixed. Most of my old programs load properly at startup but Logitech G software has to be manually loaded even when it is selected to start. Reinstall did nothing.

Other quirks still exist. Can't upload anything to Dropbox via Firefox. Just sits there and does nothing.

There any freeware program that can resolve any other issues? Or recommendation besides clean installing?
