    I seem to be haveing problems with my windows 10 PC, when i go to download a new theme for my pc and try to add it to my computer it seems to stay the same background. here are some screenshots of the problem.

    Windows 10 REALLY Stuck in High Contrast Mode

    For me it was a theme issue. I changed to the default theme and then the issue was fixed. Start menu > settings > personalization > themes > windows 10

    Whatever theme I used after switching to the default theme did not reproduce the issue.

    Strange 1 pixel border around my start menu

    Try switching your theme to a different theme and then back to the Windows 10 theme. That should reset the issue you're seeing.

    Then when i try to find the photo in my computer it, the background just goes black

    Try creating a new user for test purposes and try the same thing. This will determine if somehow your user profile is corrupt.

    Also try in Safe Mode logged in as your normal user.

    Ok a made another account on my pc and it seems to be work be working on there. is there a way to fix the problem i am having on my account without haveing to delete it?

    At least that rules out a Windows problem.

    Try that account in Safe Mode.

    Ok so I decided to just make a new account on my PC, it was kind of a mess but I fixed it. I think my old Windows account got corrupted. Thanks for your help.

    Ok, good luck.

    Having system restore on can help; there is a tutorial about how to have that run from a scheduled task.

    We also strongly recommend the routine use of disk imaging so you can restore all of Windows and its partitions as it was at a specific date when you created an image. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free) - image sets can be kept up to date and be of any disks or partitions.

    These can give you a second chance without technical help.
