Windows 10: Windows 10 Thumbnails not showing, Starts with SSD and then affects my PC... please help.

So this problem keeps happening every time I access my old HDD, the thumbnails will show for like 2 minutes, then they will disappear and all you see is the white icons and maybe a few normal thumbnails. Windows 10 file explorer then starts to act weird, the green loading bar never finishes loading like normal and the only way to fix it is to restart my PC. This is a massive problem because, now if I want to access my files, I have to keep restarting my PC over and over again. I thought this was happening because my HDD is old, like 4 years, but when I tried to access my 1-year old SDD, the sa

This setting affects the delay time to show both thumbnails and list.

  When you say "the thumbnails are just icons", is that on a local account or the Microsoft account?
  
• 
  Do you have the latest version of ProRes or iTunes installed on the pc?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below and verify the result.

• 
  Go to file explorer and clock on view.
  
• 
  Select Options and Go to View.
  
• 
  Under Files and folders uncheck the box always show icon, never thumbnails.
  

I also suggest you to install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

• Open This PC on Taskbar.
• Click or Tap on Pictures folder.
• Click on View.
• Click or tap on Options and select Change folder and Search options.
• Click on View and uncheck Always show icons, Never thumbnails.
