    Hello recently i have bought brand new asus vivobook 512-FB i have been having problems while using windows with the display screen is flickering sometimes when i run 4k videos especially i have nividia mx110 and inter graphics uhd 620. i have tried the fix that Microsoft suggested to uninstall drivers and check for updates yet i am having the problem i spoke with asus and they said it must be an OS problem . i have also a problem with the touch-pad the mouse sometimes gets slow suddenly and it clicks randomly , it binds a click for few seconds then it gets backs to normal i cannot find a solution for that also i started suspecting the laptop it self having electricity problem a help would be nice ...!

    I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it fixes the issue.

    Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

    Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.
    Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

    I suggest you to try uninstall the Touchpad drivers check if it works for you.

    Follow the steps to uninstall the Touchpad drivers:

    • Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Right-click on the Touchpad device listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
    • Select the option to Delete driver software.
    • Restart the computer after its uninstalled.
    Try to access the device manufacturer's website and download and install the latest chipset and touchpad drivers.

    Method 3

    If issue still persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad drivers in Compatibility mode and check if it works:

    Follow the steps to uninstall the touchpad driver:

    • Press Windows Key + X key.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Right-click on the Touchpad device listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
    • Select the option to Delete driver software.
    • Restart the computer after its uninstalled.
    Now download the drivers the manufacturer website and install it in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode. Follow the steps provided below to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

    • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
    • Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select Windows 8.1 operating system from the drop down.
    • Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

    This issue may occur due to corrupted or incompatible drivers, missing updates, incorrect device settings or hardware problems.

    Method 1:

    Let's first run hardware and troubleshooter and check.

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Type “Troubleshooting “in the search box and hit
      enter.
    • Click on Hardware and sound.
    • Click on Hardware and device and follow the on-screen instructions.
    Method 2:

    If the issue is not resolved, I would suggest you to un-install and re-install touchpad driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Un-install the drivers:

    Follow these steps:

    • Click on Start icon.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Right click on the
      touchpad drivers and select “Uninstall”.
    • Restart the computer once it is uninstalled.
    Step 2:

    I would suggest you to install latest touchpad driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Hi Derek,

    I would suggest the following steps :

    • Press Windows + X
    • Click on Device Manager
    • Right click on TouchPad drivers in the list.
    • Choose Upgrade Drivers
    • Reboot computer

    Check if this helped to fix the issue.
