Windows 10: Windows 10 unable to share an internet connection

Hi, community!


I’m having an interesting problem with my ability to use a laptop to share a connection with my tower setup.Don’t worry, I’ve tried the other solutions with the answers to the same problem It was working perfectly fine for a month now, but I accidently interrupted the power supply today for the laptop, and it’s refusing to operate. I can still access the laptop’s internal drive through the ethernet connection, but no dice with the internet.

I’ve done all imaginable, from getting a new cable, from resetting both ends of the wired connection, from installing a new wireless card, to doing what I’ve done before; Letting it just sleep for a couple hours. It worked before, but I’m not sure why it isn’t working now. I’ve even probed the pins for both ends for a problem with the board connectors: they all work


I can provide my specs on both machines if needed, but it would be appreciated if any help is submitted, as my online classes continue tomorow. Thanks!

2. One laptop that is connected to the Internet through a mobile USB modem and broadcasts the wireless network through its WiFi adapter.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if the following steps help to resolve the issue.

Step-1. Disable wi-fi adapter.

Step-2. Enable it again.

Step-3. Create wi-fi hot spot again.

Step-4. Now share network connection from where internet is connected to wi-fi hotspot adapter.

Is it possible to share internet connection via remote desktop?

RDP is not capable of Internet sharing, so you can't share Internet using RDP with standard applications. There are many way to share Internet from a Windows box to another one. I suggest you to use VPN. You should do following steps:

1. Run VPN Server on your server with unlimited internet access
   
2. Connect to VPN server from your limited computer
