Windows 10: Windows 10 Unbelievably slow. As in switch on to "working" desktop, in excess of 10 minutes

Upgrade to Windows 10 has **** my laptop. Unbelievably slow. As in switch on to "working" desktop, in excess of 10 minutes and it won't shut down. It just resets to sign in.


It's also **** my other partition with a FAR superior O/S.


It's not surprising, as you are the worst O/S in history. You also lock me out of hotmail for FALSE reasons and then when I speak with a "representative" she claims that I've answered all questions, but want's me to confirm a range of dynamic IP numbers. ****?????


You are without a doubt, the most unprofessional, mendacious, Machiavellian, pestiferous, odious individuals in history.

windows 10 slow boot

Just done a fresh install of windows 10. Still got the same problem.
Turn pc on from cold or a restart. Hangs on the win boot logo for a minute or so then boots in to the desktop
cant work it out why its so slow to boot up? any ideas*Mad

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

To add to what @Drone said, W10 still does not seem to like power-saving features in BIOS, and doesn't seem to like the "fast start" option in Windows, which ironically makes it faster without that option.
