    Windows 10 update 1803 to 1909 failed


    Hi,


    I have tried everything that is suggested like removing the softwareDistribution directory and running repair, troubleshooting but the update always failed around 60% of the update. The update will rollback.


    How can I resolved this problem. Thank you.

    Windows 10 update fails with the error

    Hello Everyone,

    After going thru all suggestions - Windows update is still failing.

    I am updating from 1803 to November 19 update 1909.

    Third party Antivirus is removed.

    Executed Widnows update diag program wu10.diagcab

    Using Windows standalone updater: Windows10Upgrade9252.exe

    Executed the steps suggested by Jeffrey.

    Error is not yet resolved.

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
