Windows 10: Windows 10 update 1903 and 1909 won't install - 0xc1900101 for 1903 and 0x80240034 for 1909

This has been a problem for almost a year. I did the scan of the boot drive and Windows corrected errors it found. I tried the update and it failed with the same errors. I've read several threads on this issue, followed several suggestions and can't get the updates to install. I don't know what to do next. I will not disconnect USB drives as I need them to be attached for other reasons. I don't know what to do. I'll have to stay on 1803 I suppose. What files can I post for you to help?

Windows 10 update 1903 to 1909 error 0xc1900101

Hello,

I am currently running Windows 10 version 1903 and I try to upgrade to version 1909, but it doesn't matter how many times I try, once the update reaches 100%, it says restore to the previous version of Windows or something, and in The update, History shows
error "0xc1900101".

Any help would be appreciated.

 

1903 failed to update and now it's telling me that 1909 is available

Version 1903 failed with error 0x80240034 and now I have 1909 to update. Where do I go to try to download 1903 again?

 

Do I need update 1903 to get update 1909?

It does get a little confusing, but 1909 is just an extension of 1903. It was not offered as an independent build upgrade but uses a few Cumulative Updates to get from 1903 to 1909.

Basically, if you install 1909, you are also installing the core of 1903..
