    Hey folks.


    I've been trying to update my windows 10 pro machine from 1909 to the 2004 feature version.


    Windows automatically attempted to do this several times already and it always fails. After this, I decided to try using a usb installation media to try and update through it and the upgrade assistant to no avail, as all of them end the installation with the same error.


    Things I tried to do:


    Clean boot

    Disabling/uninstalling any and all malware protection

    Updating Bios

    Running DISM/SFC checkups to see if any corruption had been found in the drive no corruption found

    Making sure critical drivers are up to date

    Removing .Net 2.0/3.5 as mentioned in a post

    Deleting the software distribution folder/restarting windows update and related processes


    None of these have actually helped the issue, as I just tried one last time to update my system as windows keeps trying to do so and failing.
