Windows 10: Windows 10 update: Camera not found 0xa00F4244

I had tried all the tricks update drivers, hidden devices, uninstall and install drivers, update drivers, privacy settings mentioned everywhere and it doesn't work. The problem lies in windows 10 update!!!!!!


I had reset my windows to factory setting on Thursday and the camera was back on. Then the computer again went into update mode on Monday morning and the camera isn't found again. I tried uninstalling the updates but it still doesn't work.


This has been the most frustrating experience of this Covid19 saga. Useless updates from Microsoft making the experience even more frustrating. Now I will have multi hour resetting the PC back to factory mode session and here is to hoping that camera will work again.


The youtube videos are full of people begging a solution to this problem - you might want to search with "camera not working windows 10" and you will find out. Probably Bing doesn't show it so please try it on Google and see how frustratingly hair pulling this useless update is.

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.
