Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Chokes on Avira

Latest Windows 10 update stalls at 25% and sends an alert that Avira is incompatible with it and must be uninstalled manually. The alert provides no location for the offending files, and a search finds no Avira files, except for a list of Avira dll files in a Total AV folder. Nothing really to uninstall. They can be deleted, I suppose, but deleting dll files always seems to have unintended consequences. What to do to make this Windows 10 update go to completion?

Avira Antivirus

Windows cannot send updates due to Avira Antivirus (not Aviva) - they suggest uninstalling Avira but it is not listed and I am not aware that I ever downloaded it. Presume its some sort of malware - any suggestions please if anyone has had the same problem

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
