Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Error 0x8007042B - 0x4001E

Hi, I've been trying to update my PC but it is constantly failing:

0x8007042B - 0x4001E The installation failed in the SECOND-BOOT phase with an error during PRE_OOBE operation

I've tried the update several times using the media creation tool and a USB but it always fails at 94%. I cleared some space so had 50GB free on my SSD but it still fails. Here is a link to my SetupDiag Log - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hSE6uFSN-U7_WqPrMXiEznR3MVdyNL7x/view?usp=sharing

It seems to mention FlightSimulator but googling doesn't reveal what the error is actually caused by or how I can fix it. Is there anything else I can try?

Anniversary update fail. Error 0x8007042B - 0x4001E

I have been attempting to upgrade windows 10 pro, from version 10240 to version 1607 (anniversary update). I have tried both the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant and the media creation tool (ISO). I get to 96% and, boom, every time it resets and restores my system to where it was before the upgrade started. The error I get is as follows:

0x8007042B - 0x4001E
The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during PRE_OOBE operation.

I have searched for an answer and haven't found one. I have tried to trouble shoot it as best I can by unplugging everything but my keyboard/mouse, updated chipset, etc.. MS techs haven't been much help. Any thoughts? The iso is not on the OS drive, not sure if that matter. I would rather not have to nuke the system. I hate having to reinstall programs (adobe is the worst). Any help is appreciated.

error 0x8007042b when adding a Yahoo Mail account to MS Mail App

I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

@Bastet, this is probably what you were referring to the whole time.


YAHOO MAIL FIX
2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.




2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box




3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.




4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.




Fully functional mail app again.



GMAIL FIX

Now similar steps to setting up Gmail. Here I'll only go through the Gmail steps as Windows Mail App setup is the exact same.

Windows 10 upgrade fails -0x8007002c - 0x4001e

I am trying to upgrade my Windows 8.1 computer to Windows 10 using a DVD . The install runs, reboots, gets through the Installing drivers and features step.. reboots and gets to the Configuring step, then reboots and says that it's restoring my computer
back to the way it was before.. the error is

"0x8007002c - 0x4001E"

I've tried re-downloading and re-burning the DVD, but same error.. need help!
