    Windows 10 update error 0x80071A91


    Hello all,

    Sorry if I am posting this thread in the wrong forum, but I have been trying to fix this problem for over a month now.

    So, I have windows 10 installed on my desktop and for over a month now I am not able to install any updates in this PC, I always get the same error:
    error 0x80071A91.

    I have tried a lot of suggestions which I found through different forums and microsoft forums also, but with no luck..

    HI

    Since updating to windows 10, I have noticed the following error messages in the windows updates:

    • Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074678) - Error 0x80071a91

    • Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074678) - Error 0x80071a91

    • Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074686) - Error 0x80071a91

    • Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081441) - Error 0x80071a91

    I have tired the Retry, the computer downloads them again and on restart fails to install them again.

    Any ideas how to resolve this?

    Thank You, but I already tried that and it didn't fix this error.

    I think a clean windows install is going to be necessary.
